About Gary

A number of days from now this body will be dead. I don’t know how many days, but that experience is going to happen. The awareness of my own mortality has lived with me for a long time. It has completely reshaped my life since I was 27.

Being aware that you have a limited number of days to live, and you don’t know what that number is, causes you to carefully evaluate the priorities in your day, your year, and your life.

You become keenly aware that there is no time to waste.

If today was my last day to live, and I spent it being unhappy, in self pity, angry, or sad about it, that would be a waste. And every day might be my last day.

If I knew that I was going to live to be 105, then does that mean that I have time to spend being miserable and unhappy? Actually less so.

If I don’t want to be unhappy and emotionally miserable for a day, why would I allow myself to be miserable for more than one day. If being unhappy for one day wastes one day, then being unhappy for many days wastes all those days.

It’s all just a very simple concept of appreciating life. However living it as a way of life is a mastery that has taken me years. It is a mastery of love and happiness that I continue to refine.

So I am leaving some notes here on this blog and web site. These notes and writings are essentially for those that have taken up the challenge of eliminating their fears and fear based beliefs in their mind. I call them Spiritual Warriors. I will write about them here, but you might want to pick up a copy of The Four Agreements by don Miguel Ruiz and read what he has to say about being a Spiritual Warrior.

Don Miguel Ruiz is my mentor and benefactor. He introduced me to the world of Awareness, the Spirit, and the world of Unconditional Love. His generosity has been and is nothing less than amazing.

This blog and this space is for Spiritual Warriors. Use these notes and writings if you find them useful in sorting out the mitote of thoughts, beliefs, and emotions in your mind. Use them if they ease the confusion and help you to build wisdom, peace, and happiness. Throw them away if they don’t.

And if you do use them, and you one day connect with that continual flowing of love through you, be sure to throw these notes away then.

I wish you Love, Joy, and much Laughter on your journey,

Gary
